freitag.de, comedy, turtle, short film, boy, leatheregg, Damien O Connor Where Greek and Turkish Cypriots live side-by-side...

Green Lines offers a unique insight into the Cyprus issue and describes how the dividing line, initially a symptom, has turned into one of the main causes for this continuing problem. The arbitrary line (known as the Green Line) has grown into a sociocultural chasm between people who once shared a largely common culture. The documentary was shot in London, in the area around the avenue of Green Lanes, where thousands of Cypriots (Greek and Turkish) have been living together peacefully for the last 60 years. Many of them are living proof that co-existence is possible. But it requires courage to face the past. [In Greek, English and Turkish, with English subtitles]

What am I allowed to do with the bought film?
Please make sure that you have a Bittorrent client installed to be able to download films from our site. What this is and where you can get it, you will find out when you click on the "buy film" button.

You will need a Paypal account to buy a film. If you do not already have one, you can open one here www.paypal.com

The technical quality of the downloaded film is better than the quality of the preview. It will not be as good as a DVD because of the level of compression that we must use to make the film down loadable for you in a acceptable timespan. It will usually be 1 Minute download for 1 minute of film with an average DSL connection on your site. You can watch the film only when it has been downloaded completely. Please let your computer do this job in the background while you are working on something else.
